What is a PEG?
Gastroenterologists use percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) to surgically insert a feeding tube (often called a PEG tube) into a patient’s stomach — bypassing the mouth and esophagus — so the patient can get the needed nutrients and fluids.
